History
Children learn about the past societies in Britain and the wider world and how the past influences the present. A chronological framework is developed for their knowledge of significant events and people. The diversity of human experience is introduced to develop an understanding of themselves as individuals and members of a society. Children are taught the skills of researching, sifting through evidence and arguing for their point of view.
