Ted Bear in Australia
During the Easter holidays in 2006, Ted went to Australia which is on the opposite side of the world from where we live. To get there he had to travel on a huge plane called a Boeing 747 (sometimes called a Jumbo Jet). It's so far away that the plane can't get there in one go. It has to stop roughly half way to take on more fuel. A new pilot and new crew also come on board to take over the plane for the remainder of the journey.
Ted went to visit Joe and his family who live in Adelaide. Joe used to come to St Mary's when he lived in Bradford Abbas. So did his older sisters, Vicky and Bryony. Now all three of them and their little brother Marcus go to a school in Adelaide called Scotch College. This picture is of Ted and Joe in front of the school. Can you see Adelaide on the map below?
