We require an enthusiastic and flexible School Support Assistant with excellent organisational skills who is able to work both on their own initiative and take instruction. We are looking to appoint one part time member of support staff to cover a number of roles within the school from the start of the new academic year September 2018.

The postholder must be a very good team player who ideally has experience of working with children, preferably in a primary school setting. Very good reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills are vital (the postholder should have minimum of a GCSE grade C in Maths and English or equivalent and be prepared to develop their expertise and knowledge by undertaking relevant training). Patience, positivity, discretion,  flexibility, consistency, creativity and an ability to build relationships with children, teachers and parents are key skills.

The three individual posts will have three different contracts and be paid accordingly:

Breakfast Club Assistant - the successful candidate will oversee the running of a new breakfast club provision for pupils.  The post holder will be required to set up at 7.50am for the  club to commence at 8 am and finish at 8.50am. This post will be will be on a fixed term contract for one year initially and will dependent on demand and financial sustainability. Grade 3 SCP 8-12 £8.62-£8.90 per hour. 

Teaching Assistant - this post is part time  8.50am - 12.00pm helping in class, carrying out  playground duties and implementing intervention activities under the guidance of the line manager. This post is permanent. Grade 3 SCP 8-12 £8.62-£8.90 per hour.

Midday Supervisor - this post is part time and starts at 12.00pm until 1.15pm. This will entail supervising pupils in the lunch hall and on the playground. This post is permanent. Grade 1 £8.50 per hour.

The postholder will be expected to carry out mid morning playground duties.
