"To draw, you must close your eyes and sing.”
This programme allows development of creativity and imagination by exploring the visual, tactile and sensory qualities of materials and processes through a range of activities. Skills increase as do pupils’ control of materials, tools and techniques plus their critical awareness of the roles and purposes of art, craft and design in their environment and in different times and cultures.
We regularly take part in a small schools' cluster project inspired by ‘Take One Picture’ whereby we work together to create artworks such as sculptures of sea creatures or carnival murals such as in the picture above. This gives our children the opportunity to use different media and develop their skills with a range of different artists and pupils from a variety of schools.
