Your school is a gem.
Quote from Salisbury Diocese Advisor
Our school is situated in the centre of Bradford Abbas, a thriving village community around St Mary’s Church, the Rose & Crown Pub, the Village Hall and the Sports & Social Club. With currently 100 pupils on the school roll, our children will learn to value the experience of being part of the wonderful community of Bradford Abbas.
The vision statment for our school community is:"The roots to grow, the wings to fly". We work tirelessly to enable every individual, pupil or staff member, to reach their potential whatever their age or stage. In our school you see life, in all its fullness, in a community of hope, dignity, inclusivity and wisdom. We foster an environment for growth; spiritual, emotional, physical, academic and social and provide the nutrients to enable everyone to flourish.
There is a strong relationship between the school and the Church. The school benefits by making use of the Church for religious events and the Vicar is actively involved in Assemblies. Our most recent inspection by Salisbury Diocese found us to be outstanding in every area.
St Mary's is part of two successful and effective educational partnerships: the small schools' cluster and the Sherborne Area Schools' Trust. The schools work together closely for the benefit of all of our children of Sherborne and the surrounding areas.
At St Mary's, we can offer you outstanding teaching and learning, excellent behaviour and a warm, safe and friendly Christian ethos where every individual is valued. We emphasise the importance of positive relationships and reward. Safeguarding information can be found here. We are proud of the curriculum we offer our children - you can read more about this here.
I hope you enjoy finding out about our school and how we work together to ensure our pupils are happy, secure and successful – please come and meet us! We have lots of exciting projects taking place this year and are very much looking forward to all the opportunities on offer!
