Monday, we were visited by the Samaritans who led a whole school presentation on how emotions can build up during the day, using the analogy of a balloon exapanding. The team then visited each class to talk about strategies to keep calm, build resilience, and recognise when negative feelings are becoming too much to handle.
On Tuesday, everyone enjoyed a session on yoga and relaxation strategies, including how to use breath to gain control and calm. The children really enjoyed this session!
For the rest of the week, children explored mindfulness activities
such as drawing and walking. The learning was shared in a whole
school assembly at the end of the week.
