School aims
Miss Stuckey has been working towards applying for the Silver Award for the School Games Mark. St Mary’s has achieved the Bronze standard for the past five years but due to the commitment and expertise of existing staff, the introduction of a sports apprentice, and the work with other providers such as Yeovil Town Football Club this year, we have achieved Silver! The award looks at the PE curriculum, competition within the school, out of school fixtures, tournaments and the inclusion and encouragement of reluctant pupils. I’d like to thank Miss Stuckey, Mrs Lockwood , Mr Cherrett and all the other staff involved for all the hard work they do for the children.
