School aims
Dear Parents and Carers
I hope this finds you well. I'm sure you, like me. watched the Prime Minister's address last night and it will have raised perhaps more questions than answers.
Like you, leaders, teaching staff and governors have only recently seen the announcement and at this stage, we are unable to answer all the questions that you (and indeed we) will have.
As the return to school is conditional and not definitive, I would urge a little caution about the messages that you give to your children that are in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 6 at this time.
We will be waiting to receive more information from the government about what this means for our school. In the short term however, nothing has changed; the home learning will continue as will our remit to provide childcare where both parents/carers are keyworkers and for vulnerable children. If changes are made, we will respond appropriately. We will provide further information in the coming days and weeks when we are able to do so.
In my thoughts particularly this week are year 6 who would have been starting their SATs today. I'm sure there will be mixed feelings amongst the pupils about this but I know some will be feeling sad that they didn't get the opportunity and it's important to acknowledge this.
Thank you for your support and patience at this time. I will be in touch again as soon as I receive some clarification around expectations going forward.
Kind regards,
Emma
