Taking Part

Taking PartChildren are encouraged to take part in the numerous clubs that are offered voluntarily by staff either in the lunch hour or after school. These range from sport to music to the environment and much more. There are some sports clubs that are run by external providers. These clubs may a fee and are booked and paid for online with the provider.

We also provide tuition from peripatetic music staff for woodwind and percussion. Tuition for brass and strings can be arranged. Through our sporting aims and provision, children are encouraged to strive towards sporting excellence through clubs and by liaising with community organisations, which give access to greater facilities or to a higher standard of coaching.

Children may take part in team and individual competitions and we are proud of the successes our children achieve as well as the spirit in which they take part. By means of the School Council we also empower our children to take an active part in suggesting improvements to the school, organising fund-raising activities, and being involved in deciding how money raised should be spent.
