The P.T.A

St Mary’s School has an active PTA and all parents with children attending the school are automatically members.  There is no membership fee.

A committee is elected annually at the AGM in the Autumn Term (and committee meetings are only once a term).  Nominations are invited on the evening of the AGM, or as notified, beforehand.  All parents are encouraged to take an interest and active part in the association.  It is a great way to get involved with your child’s school, meet other parents and socialise!

The Constitution of the PTA states the objectives of the Association to be:

  • To encourage co-operation between the staff of the school, the parents and all others associated with the school.
  • To encourage interest in the fulfilment of the educational requirements contained in the 1944, 1986 and 1988 Education Acts by the Government.
  • To engage in activities of all kinds affecting the education and the welfare of all children attending the school.

The Association shall be non-political and non-sectarian. Click here to visit the PTA website.
